IN YOUR FACE: Sapura's Jiwa (right) giving UiTM's Mohd Alfifi Arsad a tough time as they tussle for the ball during the match

BUKIT JALIL: Sapura cannot afford to become complacent anymore.

Lucky for them, they had a 5-0 lead when they appeared lost during the last few minutes of the match yesterday.

"We cannot let this happen. We conceded two goals in the last five minutes," said Sapura coach I. Vikneswaran.

"Overall our play was good except in some patches. I can't point fingers at any particular player."

Said Vikneswaran: "They play well as a unit but collapse as a group as well. Maybe it's because we played back-to-back matches."

Sapura are now equal on points with KL Hockey Club (KLHC) but remain in second place on goal difference. They will need more goals if they have any intention of winning the league title but Vikneswaran is not concerned about this.

"What's important is that we get three points in every match we play. We cannot go wrong with this strategy.

"It was good that our goals were well spread out today," added Vikneswaran.

Muhammad Marhan Mohd Jali, Jiwa Mohan, Muhammad Noor Khairul Azraain Adnan, Azreen Rizal and S. Kuhan found the net for Sapura.

Sapura take on Tenaga Nasional Berhad next.

"TNB cannot be taken for granted. They are a strong team and my players must be on their toes at all times."
