While Yayasan Negri Sembilan are still struggling to get their legion of foreign players, it is learnt that KL Hockey Club are only a day away from securing the sevices of Pakistan's penalty corner ace Sohail Abbas.

Sohail scored the first Pakistan goal against Malaysia in the Asian Games final last week and if things are ironed out with KLHC, then it will be his second stint in the MHL, having played for Bank Simpanan Nasional earlier.

With the teams having to submit their final team list by this Saturday, time is however running out for former champions YNS who have been given preferential treatment by MHF as not only have they parachuted into the Premier Division, but they were the only team that failed to submit a provisional team list to MHF.

Sohail's teammate, Rehan Butt has reportedly signed up for losing finalists Sapura.
