KL Hockey Club registered the second win in consecutive games when they hammered Maybank 4-1 at the National Hockey Stadium.
Though written off by skeptics, KLHC has shown a certain degree of class though manager George Koshy is still not happy with their overall performance.
"It was a scrappy win and I believe we can play better," conceded Koshy.
"It is still early days and hopefully the players will gel after a few more matches together.
"The three points are welcome as we try to finish as high up as the table as we can this season."
KLHC took the lead in the 8th minute via Australian youngster Mathew Mallinson.
Razie Rahim converted a penalty corner in the 18th minute to double the advantage for the defending champions.
Although Zulhairi Hadhim reduced the deficit for Maybank through a penalty corner goal in the 19th minute, the other Aussie import Harrison Page restored KLHC's two goal advantage in the very next minute.
Akhtar Ali made it 4-1 in the 46th minute and KLHC showed they still are a force to be reckoned with.
