All references to Malaysian Hockey Confederation and the sponsors of the MHL, Tenaga Nasional Berhad will be removed in due course ( as seen in picture below).This comes about as the MHC opted not to fulfill terms and conditions agreed upon before the MHL commences.
Defending champions KL Hockey Club were held to a 3-3 draw by Tenaga Nasional Berhad in a TNBMHL Premier League match at the National Hockey Stadium. The match also served up as the Charity Shield match and TNB prevailed over KLHC in the shoot-out, 3-2 to determine the winners of the shield.KLHC thus have four points in the standings, trailing table toppers Maybank who have six points, courtesy of their two wins so far. KLHC had defeated UniKL 5-0 in their opening match on Friday.
Maybank showed that they are title contenders in the TNBMHL Premier Division when they defeated Sapura 5-3 at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.It was their second successive win for Maybank who had defeated favourites Terengganu HT 2-1 on Saturday.
Maybank delivered the first shock of the TNBMHL Premier Division when they upstaged Terengganu HT 2-1 at the national Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil this evening.
It was a good performance from Maybank who in the past take time to settle down. Their strong performance and result will no doubt raise eyebrows amongst the other teams as they played asolid defensive game when required and were deadly when presented opportunities.
